Required Shipping Papers/Documentation

Proper shipping paper(s) is one of the most frequently cited violation for the shipping of hazardous materials/substances. If you have questions regarding the shipping paper/documentation, prior to shipping your material, contact EHS Hazardous Materials Specialist for assistance.

  1. When preparing shipping papers make sure all the entries are correct and follow the ISHP sequence description.
  2. Check that additional documents required for the shipment are included, such as SDS, permits, licenses, etc.
  3. Enter the correct emergency contact information.
